Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains how Core Search collects and uses personal data about candidates, client contacts and visitors to this website. Core Search is a trading name of Coretech Talent Limited, which is the controller of your personal data.

Who we are

Coretech Talent Limited, trading as Core Search. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16771896. Registered office: Office 1, Izabella House, 24-26 Regent Place, Birmingham, B1 3NJ. Registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZC146458.

Core Search is a permanent recruitment business. We operate as an employment agency under the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. Staffed Group Limited (trading as Staffed) is a separate company within the same family of businesses and handles temporary work.

For any question about this policy or your data, contact Izabela Cooper at team@core-search.co.uk or on 0121 816 1909.

If you are a candidate

What we collect. Your name and contact details, CV, employment history, qualifications, skills, current and expected salary, notice period, location and willingness to travel or relocate, the type of role you are looking for, notes from our conversations and interviews, references, and feedback from employers you are introduced to.

Where it comes from. From you directly (applications, emails, calls, forms), and from sources where you have made your professional details available, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, CV-Library, Totaljobs and recruitment database providers. If we obtain your details from one of these sources and contact you, we will tell you where we found them and point you to this policy, normally in our first message and at the latest within one month.

Why we use it, and our legal basis.

  • To assess your suitability for roles, contact you about opportunities, and represent you to employers. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in providing recruitment services, which we balance against your rights. You can object at any time.
  • To send your CV or details to a specific employer. We will always discuss the role with you and get your agreement before we put you forward.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, including record keeping under the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Who we share it with. Employers you agree to be put forward to; Staffed, if you are interested in temporary work and agree to it; and the service providers listed below.

If you are a client or prospective client contact

We hold business contact details (name, job title, company, work email and phone number) and a record of our dealings with you, so we can provide our services, manage our relationship with your organisation, and tell you about candidates and services that may be relevant to your business. Legal basis: legitimate interests. We only send unsolicited marketing emails to corporate email addresses, and every marketing message includes a simple way to opt out.

If you visit this website or contact us

When you use our contact form or email us, we use what you send to reply and keep a record of the correspondence. Our website also collects basic usage data through cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Phone calls

Calls with our team may be recorded and transcribed so we keep an accurate record of what was discussed, can follow up properly, and can improve the quality of our service. Calls to our main lines may be answered by an automated phone assistant, which takes your details and passes them to our team. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help us work efficiently, for example to summarise calls, draft documents, and compare CVs against the requirements of a role. These tools support our consultants. They do not make final decisions. A person on our team reviews every candidate before any decision is made about shortlisting, rejection or introduction to an employer. You can ask us at any time how a decision about you was made.

Our service providers

We use trusted providers to run our business, including our recruitment database (Loxo), Microsoft 365 for email and documents, Twilio for telephony and call transcription, an automated phone assistant (VAPI), workflow automation software, AI service providers, and our website host. They process data only on our instructions under written agreements.

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to make sure your data is protected to UK standards.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it. Details are in our Data Retention Policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict how we use your data;
  • object to our use of your data, including for direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable format, where this applies;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email team@core-search.co.uk. There is no charge in most cases. We will respond within one month, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
